About Canal Rocks
Canal Rocks is nestled by Yallingup. Part of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park this spectacular part of the coast has views over the Indian Ocean. This sight is a must see.
The environment is almost like an open air museum telling the tale of millions of years of waves washing back and forth. That is what it has taken to form what is the canal. Gigantic granite rocks that make up this edge of the coast have been moulded into what we see it today.
A board walk bridge takes you to see the canal. You can climb over the rocks. Go for a fish or swim but beware of strong tides.
At the right time of the year whales can be seen swimming about the bay. This is also a great place to watch the sun go down to end your day.
Boat launching from this site is good but do take note that during peak periods the trailer parking does get busy.
Toilets are provided. They are long drops but are relatively clean.
